paracetamol overdose.

liver damage is possible in adults who have taken 10g or more of paracetamol. ingestion of 5g or more of paracetamol may lead to liver damage if the patient has risk factors (see below).

Risk factors
if the patient
a, is on long term treatment with carbamazepine, phenobarbitone, phenytoin, primidone, rifampicin, st john's wort or other drugs that induce liver enzymes.
Or
b, regularly consumes ethanol in excess of recommended amounts.
Or
c, is likely to be glutathione deplete e.g. eating disorders, cystic fibrosis, HIV infection, starvation, cachexia.

symptoms of paracetamol overdosage in the first 24 hours are pallor, nausea, vomitting, anorexia and abdominal pain.

my head is spinning.
my stomach aches.
i puke so many times.
i can't eat my dinner.
my body is burning and i break out in cold sweat.
it all started with a strawberry sundae.
then i felt so terrible i gave the portugal and holland match a miss.
i walked home and puked along the way.
my keys couldn't open the main door so i slept outside the house for almost 2 hrs.
i sleeptalked to tracy cause i'm almost unconscious.
i couldn't meet love today cause i'm feeling shit.
all these rubbish because of 2 people that's not worth it.
how dumb.

in severe poisoning, hepatic failure may progress to encephalopathy, haemorrhage, hypoglycaemia, cerebral oedema, and death.
i hope i die.
